IMESS Scholarships in UK

The University College London, UK offer the African Student and other international Students, the IMESS Scholarships. Is a generous scholarship funded and awarded jointly by the consortium universities. International Masters in Economy, State and Society (IMESS) offers four different but related study package, reflecting the expertise of the consortium institutions.

University College London is a public research university in London, England. It is a member institution of the federal University of London, and is the second-largest university in the United Kingdom by total enrolment and the largest by postgraduate enrolment. It has its main campus in the Bloomsbury area of central London, with a number of institutes and teaching hospitals elsewhere in central London and has a second campus, UCL East, at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, East London.

Each study package combines compulsory language training, research methodology, specialist electives and an extended research dissertation. These study packages includes:

  • Economics and Business
  • Politics and Security
  • Nation and Society
  • History and Culture

What the Scholarship Covers

IMESS Scholarship covers the tuition fees in each year and do not cover the full costs associated with accommodation, food, travel and books. Thus, applying students has to provide additional funding source to take care most of his living cost.

How to Apply

There no separate application required for the IMESS Scholarships. Application are done via the University College London website. Applicants are to fully pass the eligibility criteria required for the scholarship. These major five criteria are as follows:

Application Requirements

  • All applicants should hold an Upper Second Class honor Degree (or oversea equivalent) from an internationally renowned university.
  •  Must provide evidence of English proficiency (IELTS/TEOFL Advanced Level
  • Applicants in the final stages of their undergraduate degree may apply but they must be able to present their transcript of marks.
  • Provide basic evidence of motivation to study on the IMESS programme and research interests related to the IMESS programme.
  • Referees to recommend the applicant and point out specific relevant strengths
