Marshal Papworth Scholarship in UK

The Marshal Papworth Scholarship is open to students from developing countries with the aim of providing the agricultural and horticultural skills. These will enable the need to achieve a sustainable future for the students and their communities. The scholarship is funded through partnering organizations and Universities and Colleges.

Level/Field of Study:Master’s program in field of Integrated Pest Management, Entomology, Agricultural Sciences, and Production Systems.

Number of Scholarships: The Marshal Papworth Scholarshipis is of two types namely –

  • Masters program – A one year’s Masters Degree in agriculture or horticulture at a UK-based university.
  • Marshal Papworth 10-week short course – A 10-week practical and experiential course to empower change makers in rural communities. This course is specifically made for students who can demonstrate a strong hands-on commitment to their community and its agricultural development. Potential candidates for this course also include innovative farmers, community project leaders or primary school teachers with a keen interest in local agriculture, who are motivated in becoming change makers within their communities. The 10-weels course is taken at Harper Adams University, UK.

Scholarship Value

The scholarship worth a total sum of £23,350  which covers tuition fee and  living expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified, candidates must meet all criteria:

  • This scholarship is available to students from developing countries who have applied for the following programs:
  • MSc Integrated Pest Management
  • Entomology MSc
  • Master in Agricultural Sciences and Production Systems
  • Applicants must have at least one award/relevant professional experience.

How to Apply

Applicant are submit your full application to Harper Adams University or other partnering universities. Students for masters program are to apply for an admission into any of the partnering university. The following documents are required:

  • A completed application form for Marshal Papworth students
  • A recent photograph of you
  • The following pages of your passport:
  • the front cover
  • the photo and information page
  • any showing visas issued to you
  • Your academic transcript
  • All of your qualifications certificates
  • A current academic reference (this must appear on the letterhead of the institution and include the signature and contact information of the referee)
  • An up-to-date reference from your employer regarding your work, including a statement of your work practices that certifies your English language qualification
