The Queensland University of Technology, Australia offers scholarships to both domestic and international students who wishes to pursue a degree program at the university. Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a research university located in the coastal city of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia.  It is eighth largest university in Australia by enrolment and the second-largest in Queensland. The University has two major campuses –

  • A modern city campus in Gardens Point and
  • A historical campus in Kelvin Grove.

QUT was formerly a member of the Australian Technology Network of universities, but withdrew participation on 28 September 2018. Its Business School is one of three Triple Crown business schools in Australia and possesses accreditation by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business,  Association of MBAs and EQUIS.

Benefits of the Scholarships

Scholarships value available include:

  • scholarships valued at $30,000 each for study in any discipline
  • scholarships valued at $30,000 each for courses in the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering only.
  • scholarships valued at $10,000 each for study in any discipline.

These scholarships will be paid as a study stipend of up to $5,000 after the HECS-HELP census date of each semester for up to three years ($10,000 per year).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be offered an admission into the university – applicant are required to be offered an admission before becoming eligible for the scholarship as most of the scholarship does not require a separate application.
  • Proficiency in English Language: For students for do not have English as there first language, you are required to meet the QUT English Language qualification.
  • For Domestic students – Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen.
  • For International Students – Must receive an offer of admission from the University.

How To Apply

The application for this scholarships is online via the the University Portal. Applicants. Most of the scholarships at QUT do not need a separate scholarship application, as some of the scholarships are open to all admitted students. You are required to follow these steps for the application:

  • Apply for a degree of any level of your choice.
  • After applying for the degree program in the chosen course, the student can fill out the scholarship application.
